59th Grammy Award Nominees for Jazz

 

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will broadcast on February 12, 2017 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on the CBS network. James Corden will take over Grammy hosting duties from LL Cool J, who emceed the awards show from 2012 thru 2016. “We look forward to bringing James’ exceptional showmanship, infectious energy, and his undeniable kinship with music the to GRAMMY stage,” said Jack Sussman, Executive VP of Specials, Music, And Live Events for CBS Entertainment.

Adele and Beyonce will both perform at the 2017 Grammys Given that both received a load of nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Bruno Mars will also perform and there will almost certainly be a tribute to Prince.

The Recording Academy® announced its 2017 Special Merit Awards recipients today. The Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Shirley Caesar, Ahmad Jamal, Charley Pride, Jimmie Rodgers, Nina Simone, Sly Stone, and the Velvet Underground. Thom Bell, Mo Ostin and Ralph S. Peer are Trustees Award honorees; Alan Dower Blumlein is the Technical GRAMMY®Award recipient..
