Hey... Have You Heard About Shola Adisa-Farrar?
Have you heard about Shola? Shola Adisa-Farrar that is... aka Shola Joy to her friends! “Shola,” ( a Yoruba name which means “one who is blessed”) burst on the Jazz music scene recently with her critically acclaimed, debut cd entitled, "Lost Myself."
"Lost Myself" (Hot Casa Records) written and composed by Shola Adisa-Farrar and French Jazz pianist, Florian Pellissier is a combination of New York’s hard-bop aesthetics and reggae-inspired elements, laced with Shola Adisa Farrar’s exceptionally beautiful, “songbird” voice. During the first week of the album’s release, Lost Myself became the #1 selling Jazz album on iTunes France!
"A beautiful record that we might put right up there with our favorite classics by singers like Carmen Lundy or Dee Dee Bridgewater!"
