Aretha Franklin Announces Last Album with Stevie Wonder
Aretha Franklin, “Re-Re" aka The Queen of Soul made headlines recently when she announced during an interview with the Detroit TV station WDIV Local 4 that she plans to slow down her schedule and spend more time with her grandchildren. Aretha also announced her plans to record what would be her last album and that some of the songs would be produced by the “one and only” Stevie Wonder.
The album to be recorded in Detroit will surely be one of the most anticipated of the year. The tentative release is scheduled for September 2017. (Aretha’s biggest previous hit with Stevie Wonder was “Till You Come Back to Me.”)
It’s going to be fascinating to hear what these two great artists, who have pretty much conquered the world musically produce once again in the iconic city where it all started, Detroit.
I feel very, very enriched and satisfied with respect to where my career came from and where it is now.
