1. Club Nubia
Club Nubia, the new kid on the "Paris Jazz Club" block, has a first class, jazz entertainment schedule of top regional and international jazz artists. Club Nubia also has a first class sound/production stage, an excellent restaurant, a bar and a terrace. And perhaps we should expect nothing less from a jazz club that is owned by one of the most famous Jazz artists in the world, Grammy Award winning bassist / vocalist Richard Bona.
Club Nubia is situated on the new La Seine Musicale entertainment complex in Boulogne Billancourt. It’s a bit out of the city center, located on the " Île Seguin" but well worth the trip. Club Nubia programs a mostly Jazz set spiced with pop, French chanson, electro, hip-hop, R&B and rock music. Upcoming concerts Summer 2018 include, Richard Bona, Sylvain Luc, Ceccarelli, Hervé Samb, Catia Werneck, The Volunteered Slaves, Frank McComb and Hadrien Feraud, Martha High and the Soul Cookers.

2. Sunset / Sunside
The Sunset / Sunside Clubs has appeared on the top ten Paris jazz clubs list of virtually every publication for many years…and their reputation and position on all of these lists is well deserved. Popular Jazz radio station TSF occasionally banners concerts here.
The Sunset / Sunside entertainment complex is located right in the center of Paris on the famous "rue des Lombards" which is home to four of the best Jazz Clubs in Paris. The Sunset / Sunside is almost always listed together but they are, for all practical purposes, two separate venues, each with its own entrance, different schedule of events…and two different cover charges.
Our last visit was for the release parties of drummer Jeff Ludovicus (Dimanche) and the Montreux Jazz award winning keyboardist, Jerry Léonide (Source of the Ocean. If you re a serious Jazz aficionado looking for musicianship at its highest level Sunset / Sunside is the place for you. 100% Jazz. // photo (© Franz Fox Kennedy)
